Write down every country on your route

A Europe bundle can simplify a multi-country trip, but the name alone does not tell you where it works. Open the included countries for the exact offer and compare them with your itinerary.

Check the United Kingdom, Switzerland and any stop outside the EU explicitly. Europe, the European Union and an eSIM’s coverage list are different things. Do not infer coverage from geography or EU roaming rules.

Compare the whole trip, not just the headline price

A country plan may suit a single destination. A regional plan can avoid switching between separate travel eSIMs when all your stops are included. Compare the actual offers available for your route.

Compare data allowance, validity, start rule, supported networks and hotspot status alongside the total cost. Two Europe plans can include different countries and networks even when their data allowance matches.

One allowance across the included destinations

A regional plan’s allowance is shared across the countries it covers. A 3 GB regional allowance does not become 3 GB in each country. Moving across a border does not reset the data allowance or restart the validity.

An eSIM is installed on one compatible phone. If the selected plan supports hotspot, that phone can share its data connection with other devices. Their usage comes from the same allowance; this is not a separate eSIM for each traveller.

Avoid starting the clock before your trip

Check the exact plan’s activation rule before installing or turning on the line. Installation and first network connection are different possible start events.

If your home country is included in a first-connection plan, enabling it there may begin its validity before departure. The deadline to activate is also separate from the number of days the plan lasts once started.

Check your phone and how you will use it

Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Check the exact model and purchase region, not only the product family. Keep an internet connection available while downloading the profile.

These travel plans are data only: no local number, ordinary calls or SMS are included. Messaging and internet-call apps use the connection. Your home SIM’s calls, messages and roaming remain subject to your home carrier’s terms.

At your destination

Follow the installation details in your ready order, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and follow its roaming instructions. Keep home-line data roaming and automatic data switching off to reduce accidental home-carrier data use.

Coverage varies with network availability and location. If you cannot connect, check that the country is included and the correct line is selected, then use the setup guide. Do not delete the eSIM while seeking help.
